ORAL FEEDING PRE STAGE 1 PALLIATION PROJECT

Project Name: Oral Feeding Pre Stage 1 Palliation (PreOp Oral Feeding) Improvement Project

Project Phase:  Design

Brief Summary: This improvement project aimed to improve the survival and quality of life for infants with single ventricle heart disease infants by improving the opportunity for nutritional and neurodevelopmental oral feeding experiences.

SMART Aim: Increase the percent of newborns/infants fed orally prior to Stage 1 palliation from ~53% to ~75%.

Participation Details: NPC-QIC centers were invited to participate in the learning cohort for this project in late 2021.
